Fresh Oil

Ps 92:10 - But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. 


  1. What does fresh connote? It means new, replacing the stale one. Think about the engine oil in the car; after some thousands of kilometres, you need to change it because the engine oil in the vehicle is no longer effective, so it is replaced with a new one. So it is with our Christian lives. 
  2. As christians, some of us have been anointed years ago, but since we have not been abiding in God's presence, our anointing has become stale - 
    1. Father, today I plead for Your Mercy. Have mercy on me, Lord and renew the anointing on my life. Refresh your anointing on my life. 
    2. Father, let there be a revival in my life; as your fresh oil anoints my head, let the Holy Spirit move within my soul. 
  3. There are also some of us, we have been anointed for an assignment sometime back, but God is saying it is time to move to greater heights; it is time for another assignment.  The Lord is yearning to anoint us with fresh oil for better feat - Father, I am here and I am willing, anoint me for bigger assignments. Let your fresh oil anoint me for the next phase of my life, of my walk with you. Let your fresh oil grant me grace for the next step, let it grant me strength to move forward in Jesus mighty name
  4. One of the things that oil is used for is to moisturise. So if you have dry skin and you rub oil on it, it moisturises your skin and it becomes supple and soft. So we will pray that Father, as your fresh oil pours on my life, every area of my life that has been dry & brittle, begin to receive a new lease of life in the name of Jesus. Every aspect of life - be it physical, spiritual, financially, my home, my business, my career that has become dry & brittle, begin to receive a new lease of life in that name of Jesus
  5. Another thing that oil does is that it lubricates. When you have old rusty parts and you apply oil to it, the oil lubricates and makes the parts move easily against one another. The easy moving parts signifies ease. Therefore, we'll pray that Lord today, as your fresh oil is poured onto my life, let me begin to experience ease in every area of my life. I declare upoin myself and my family, ease of access, ease of passage. By reason of your fresh oil Lord, I enter into my season of ease in the name of Jesus
  6. When a body is not at ease, that's when we say that it is diseased, there we'll pray that Father, by reason of your fresh oil, every form of disease or infirmity in my body, let it be removed. Father let your anointing break the yoke of infirmity and diseases in my life, in the life of my children, in the life of my husband, of my wife. In the name of Jesus. 
  7. Last prayers.

The God that sustains me

In the song “Kosobabire” by Psalmos, Evang. Tope Alabi said “O s’ate mi rogodi, o mu mi duro d’olosinsin”. It basically means that God sustained me during my period of dryness, of hardship until my period of refreshing came. There are times when we feel that we have prayed, we’ve fasted but it looks like the situation remains the same and then we wonder “God why are you silent, why are you not answering me?
